Drug Uses
Soma is used to calm down the pain that might appear in muscles. The drug relaxes the muscles. The discomfort, tension and wrench will disappear if you use soma.
How Taken
Soma pills are designed for oral usage. The normal dosage for an adult is 350 mg tablet that should be taken three times daily and at bedtime. Children under 12 years are not allowed to take Soma. The medicine can harm your stomach. So, take the pill with food or milk.
Warnings/Precautions
It will be harmful for you to use Soma in case you have acute intermittent porphyria. Make special analysis in order to find out if you don't have kidney or liver diseases. If you suffer from these diseases, your doctor must prescribe you a special dosage of Soma and should supervise you during the whole period of treatment. If you are planning to have a child during the period of treatment, talk to your doctor first. Soma can affect your unborn baby. The medicine is secreted in mother's breast milk. The medicine can be harmful for your baby. You must discuss all the effects and risks with your doctor or pharmacist. Children under 12 can not take Soma.
In case you forgot to take a pill in time.
If you forgot to take a pill in time, you must take it as soon as you remember. If you see that the next pill time is near, leave out the missed pill and do not forget to take the next one in time. Keep the ordered Soma in dark and dry place at room temperature. Do not take two pills instead of one.
Possible Side Effects
You may have some side effects during the period of treatment as giddiness, ataxia, tremble, disturbance, excitement, irritation, headache, depressive behavior, faint, and sleeplessness. If you are allergic person be very attentive during the first and fourth dosage of Soma, you might notice some allergic reactions such as eruptions of skin, erythema multiforme, pruritus, eosinophilia and eruptions that can appear if you take Soma together with meprobamate. You can notice other side effects as bronchial asthma sufferers, high temperature, feebleness, fainting, giddiness, angioneuronic edema, problems with eyesight, low pressure and anaphylactoid shock.
Storage
The drugs must be kept in dry and dark places. The tablets and capsules must be stored at controlled room temperature 15 - 30 C (59 - 86 F).
Overdose
The effect of overdose can be harmful. In case you overdosed seek immediately emergency medical attention. The symptoms of overdose can be the following: hypotension (feebleness, fainting and misunderstandings), hard breathing and unconscious state.
More Information
Do not drive car, work with machinery or participate in activities that require your attention and concentration, because Soma causes giddiness and somnolence. Do not participate at hazard activities until you know which will be your reaction to Soma. Do not use alcohol with Soma because it will intensify the state of giddiness and somnolence.
