Common uses
This anticonvulsant is used to treat
the fits bound epilepsy. This can be also used to treat the pain because of emergency
nervous stimulation (neuropathic pain) and nervous pain zoster infection of the
shingles. This can be also used for treating other condition as determined by
your doctor.
Before using
Additional examination of your condition
can be necessary if you have a kidney disease. Tell your doctor about any other
medical conditions you have such as allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feedings.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or anxiety about
taking this medicine.
Directions
Follow the instructions prescribed by your doctor. This medicine
can be accepted on empty belly or with food. Do not take this medicine within
2 hours of the taking aluminum- or magnesium-contents antacid.
Store this medicine in the temperature of the room in tightly-locked
container, from heat and light away. If you miss the dose take it as soon as
you remember. If this period is less than 2 hours before your following dose,
take the missed dose immediately and take your following dose 1, 2 hours later,
then return to your regular dosing specification. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Cautions
Do not cease to take this medicine without first discussing with
your doctor. This medicine can cause drowsiness or dizziness. This medicine will
increase effect of the alcohol and other depressants. Ask your doctor or pharmacist
if you have any questions.
Do not travel, serve equipment or do anything else that could
be dangerous while you are taking this medicine. Using only this medicine, with
the other medicine, or with alcohol can reduce your ability to control or to
execute other potentially dangerous tasks.
For women: if you plan on
becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the advantage and risk of the use
of this medicine during pregnancy. This medicine passes into breast milk. If
you are breast-feeding then don't use this medicine, before talking with your
doctor or pharmacist in order to discuss the risk for your baby. Possible
effects Possible Side effects that can
occur when taking this medicine include weariness, drowsiness, dizziness, tremor,
pain, dry mouth, constipation, raised appetite, or upset stomach. If they are
continued or bothersome, talk with your doctor.
contact your doctor at once if you feel the reduced co-ordination,
varies through vision (the double or oiled vision), displacement back and forth
eye, firm sore throat or fever, tumor of the ankles, mental or mood changes,
loss of memory, or speech changes. If you notice some other effects not listed
above, address to your doctor, or pharmacist.
If you suspect that you have taken too much, call your medical
centre immediately. Overdose symptoms can include the double vision, indistinct
speech, sluggishness, drowsiness, or diarrhea.
Additional information
Does not spread this medicine to others for which it was not prescribed.
Do not use this medicine for the other conditions of health. Keep this medicine
out of the reach of children. When using this medicine for extended length of
time, buy it earlier than your medicine will run out.
Drug interactions
Drug can end in the undesirable
side effect or prevent the medicine from doing its work. Some medicine or medical
conditions can interact with this medicine. Tell your doctor or pharmacist of
whole prescription and nonprescription medicine, which you are taking.
