Common uses

Lasix is the loop diuretic drug. It is used to cure such diseases as arterial pressure, congestive heart failure. It is not a full list of diseases that Lasix may cure. It treats many other diseases.

Before using

Caution: this medicine is an Uri native drug. Do not increase the dose of medicine because it can lead to big wastes of water or minerals. Directions

If you have to take two doses, the last one should be taken not later than 6 pm.

Keep Lasix in dark and dry places in a well-closed container. If you forgot to take a pill in time, you must take it as soon as you remember. If you see that the next pill time is near, leave out the missed pill and do not forget to take the next one in time .Do not take two pills instead of one!

These effects can be intensified by such factors as alcohol, hot weather and physical efforts. In order to prevent the giddiness you may do some physical exercises especially in the morning. Stand up slowly; sit down when you feel weakness. You may have a heightened sensibility to the sun. Do not acquire tans during the period of treatment. If it is not possible to avoid the direct hit of light rays use a sunscreen agent or clothes that will hide you from them and will protect your skin. Call your doctor and than use other non-prescription medicines.

For women: If you are pregnant or you are planning to become a mother you should call your doctor and to discus all the risks that might appear during the period of pregnancy. The medicine can affect your unborn baby. If you are breast-feeding mother you must be very careful because Lasix is excreted in your breast milk and may harm your baby. Your doctor or pharmacist must inform you about all possible dangers.

If you are diabetic, you should verify the quantity of sugar in the blood before you begin the treatment. Show your doctor the results of testing. Your doctor will appoint you the necessary dosage.

Possible side effects

You may have some side effects during the period of treatment such as lightheadedness, giddiness, weakness, sleeplessness, nasal congestion, muscle feebleness, back pain, cough. If you have any of these symptoms call your doctor immediately. Call your doctor if you have diarrhea, retching, loose of weight or appetite, dry mouth. You may have other symptoms not listed above.

If you take too much

The effect of overdose can be injurious. In case you overdosed seek immediately emergency medical attention, contact your local poison control center or emergency room. The symptoms of overdose can be the following: dry mouth, giddiness, feebleness, frequent urination, uncommon heartbeats.

Do not other people to take Lasix if it is not prescribed. You can not take the medicament without medical prescription. Do not treat other diseases using Lasix.
