Before using

Warning: this medicine can cause the harm to human fetus. For this reason negative test to pregnancy must be received before beginning treating with leflunomide. This medicine must not be used during pregnancy, or if women can become pregnant if they do not use the reliable form of a birth control. If females, who have not taken leflunomide to get through determined period to remove this medicine from their bodies, they couldn't become pregnant during at least 2 years after this medicine will stop being used. Discuss the risk and advantage of taking this medicine with your doctor. Report your doctor or pharmacist of the whole prescription and nonprescription medicine, which you take. Do not take this medicine if you also take cholestyramine.

Do not make alive vaccines of the receiver while you're taking this medicine. Address to your doctor for more details. Additional check of your dose or condition can be necessary if you take other medicine, which suppress the firm system. Do not start or stop any medicine without approval of the doctor or pharmacist. Report your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Using this medicine is not recommended if you have a history of blood disease, bone marrow, or firm system disturbances; the liver disease; hepatitis b or c infection; or serious, uncontrolled infections. Directions

Follow instructions of this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine can remain in the body up to 2 years after you have ceased to take it. If your doctor decides that you need to cease to take this medicine, there is a process that can help to delete the medicine from your body quicker. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Save the medicine in the room temperature below 77° F (25°C) in tightly- locked container, from heat and light away. You can keep the drug between 59 and 86°F (15 and 30°C) for short period. If you miss the dose, take it after remembering. If it is nearly time for your following dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Cautions

Do not to take this medicine if you had allergic reaction on it or allergic to any component of this product. It can require 4 weeks or more to feel any improvement when taking the medicine. Do not cease to use this medicine without first talking with your doctor. Keep doctor and laboratory prescriptions while using this medicine. Laboratory and/or medical tests such as, full blood abacus can be made to check your progress or to test side effect presence. This medicine has seldom caused the serious liver problem, sometimes finishing death. The problems usually occur during the first 6 months of treating and usually in patient with other medical condition or those who are taking other medicine, which raise the risk of liver problems.

Contact your doctor immediately if you feel any sign of a liver problem including eye or skin yellowing, darkening urine, or gastric pain, or if you have fever. The Liver function tests must be made before you will begin to take this medicine and usually after you take this medicine for liver problem. The Alcohol also enlarges your risk of liver problem. Talk with your doctor before drinking alcohol while taking this medicine. This medicine can reduce your resistance to infection. Prevent the infection avoiding contact with people with chill or other infection. Do not touch your eyes or nose if you do not wash your hands carefully.

Talk with your doctor before having immunizations (the inoculations) up to 2 years after stopping using the medicine. If you have serious infection, your therapy must be stopped and it is necessary to terminate the procedure of the removal. Call your doctor immediately if you feel any sign to infections including fever, often weariness, or wound throat.

Before you begin to take any new medicine, or prescription or nonprescription, talk with your doctor or pharmacist. For men: this medicine can cause the innate defects in man's children, if you are taking this medicine at the time of conception. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about efficient birth control pills such as, condoms when taking this medicine. If you plan on fathering child, speak to your doctor about it.
